Pinterest is full of crafty crap like this. Time suck crafts that never turn out looking like the image and bring your self-esteem down. Continue reading “5 Things I Saw On Pinterest That I Don’t Understand”
There is a saying that “Idle hands are the devil’s playground”. I would like to amend that saying and add “Idle hands in possession of a smartphone with the Pinterest app on it are the devil’s playground”. Continue reading “5 Things I Saw on Pinterest that I REALLY REALLY Want”
This Sunday (November 3rd) the annual Black Girls Rock awards show will air on BET at 7pm. This awards show was created to showcase amazing Black females in the entertainment industry and there was no shortage of drop dread gorgeous women that walked down the red carpet this past weekend at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. As a fan and follower of Tracee Ellis Ross on Instagram, I was excited to see which outfit she decided on for the show. The Instagram videos of her outfit choices and the plethora of inspiration from the Pinterest hastag- #traceebgr- left me chomping at the bit to see what the final decision would be. I planned that wedding already and it didn’t happen, and I don’t want to plan it again. The older I get, the more I am leaning towards eloping and getting married on a beach, at city hall, or in the desert. And then, at a later date, throwing a small reception for our family and friends at a restaurant. But, that’s just me. So many girls dream of their wedding day from childhood and throughout adulthood. They meticulously stash articles and photos away and keep ideas locked away in their brains. They scrimp and save for their big, magical day and don’t let naysayers and negative Nancys bring them down. This post is for those lovely ladies. After looking through the Spring 2014 and Fall 2014 bridal runway shows, I have gathered the best looks for three types of brides: the Traditionalist, the Romantic, and the Modern.
And because you must have awesome shoes to wear under these fabulous gowns:
