So, if you know me personally you know that I LOVE ABC’s Scandal. I was never a big Grey’s Anatomy fan. I have actually never watched an episode in my entire life, despite the fact that my former roommates used to have viewing parties for the premiere of the newest Grey’s episode. I must have been eating pizza or refusing to do a headstand in yoga class during those evenings. I’ve also never watched Private Practice, unless you count those few nights when an episode comes on after the late night news and I haven’t quite fallen asleep yet. Needless to say, Scandal was my first foray into Shondaland. I may have purchased my ticket skeptically, but you will have to pry the stub from my cold, clenched, dead hands. I am never leaving and you couldn’t make me if you wanted to. Now, love her or hate her, or get extremely irritated with her, Olivia Pope has a wardrobe most female Washingtonians would give up a lifetime Metro pass for. The only thing I don’t understand is how she can drink so much red wine and wear so much beige, white, and taupe, but never get a drop on her…..she clearly is a professional. October 3rd can’t get here fast enough.

Top 10 Items for Fall
So, fall is only a hop, skip, and flask of bourbon away and I, for one, can’t wait! I haven’t been this excited for fall in a long time. I think it’s because of all the cool trends that I am dying to try. And I’m not waiting for some ultra fancy invitation to come floating my way before I try out some of these trends. You just may see me wandering around the Whole Foods in leather leggings and peep-toe booties. Don’t mind me….I’m just being fabulous. Here are my top ten lust-worthy items for fall, in no particular order:
1) Jumpsuit- I want it. I want it. I want it. I want it. I want it. I want it.
2 ) Peep-toe booties- Because, of course.
3) Leather leggings- Obviously in the fall I become a badass.
5) High-waist trousers. I can’t wait to channel Marlene Dietrich with this trend.
6) Leather hooded jacket. I have wanted this particular item for TWO years now! It’s gotta happen this year….hopefully.
7) Platform ankle strap heels-I’ll probably just end up getting them in black, but wouldn’t a rich jewel tone be awesome? Ruby, emerald, sapphire?
Oh, be still my beating heart!
8) Silk Blouse- Pair one of these blouses with a pair of high-waisted pants and the platform heels for an instant 1930’s starlet vibe. Wear the blouse with some leather leggings, peep-toe booties and a moto jacket and you’ve got Downtown Chic. It’s a win-win.
9. Wool Sheath. In my dreams I’m a boardroom maven. Ready to rock corporate America and bring it to its knees.
10) Platform Loafer Heels- These can be paired with the high waist trousers, jumpsuit, a sheath, dark trouser jeans…etc, etc; the combinations are endless!
Okay, now who is going to sponsor me so that I can afford all of these wonderous things?
Anyone?

Wardrobe Envy: Allison Williams, Girls
Just in time for fall, I bring you your workplace inspiration for that first week with a chill in the air. In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t had access to a television or the internet, Allison Williams plays Marni on Girls. She is the type A, stick up her ass counter part to Lena Dunham’s free wheeling, care free Hannah. For much of the previous two seasons, Marni worked at an art gallery. Thus the majority of her wardrobe includes solid colors, classic sheaths, and conservative jewelry. Obviously I was a WASPy YUPPY in my previous life because I love her wardrobe and I really just want to raid her closet and roll around in all the soft, soft wool and cotton.
Go ahead girl, drink your wine in your fine ass purple, cowl neck dress. Looking fierce.
Lily Collins shows young Hollywood how to DO BETTER
Remember when a young, adorable Lily Collins was doing press to promote Mirror, Mirror? Yea, me neither. I was way too busy lusting after Chris Hemsworth in Snow White and the Huntsman. But! I did look back at some pictures recently and I gotta hand it to Lily, she has quickly become one to watch on the red carpet.

1.) She goes full-on glam at the Los Angeles premiere. She wore a sexy white Cushnie et Ochs midi dress with bodice cut-outs and finished the look with a pair of white Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.
2.) She was a vision in black at the Germany premiere. The actress wore a sleeveless Paper London crop top and black floor-length Halston Heritage tulip skirt. She smartly paired the ensemble with a gold, chain link necklace and gold arm cuff.

3.) Lily looks refreshing, with a natural make-up look, at the Toronto premiere wearing a long-sleeved ivory lace Houghton column with an open back.

4.) Hey, you vampy vixon you! For an appearance at Fox 29’s ‘Good Day’ she showed up in a Maxime Simoëns look, paired with wicked Christian Louboutin over-the-knee black leather boots.
5.) Her most girlish look was for a stop at Good Morning America where she went pollyanna cute in a white pleated Valentino dress and black and nude lace Jimmy Choos.
