Currently, it is 66 degrees F and raining in Baltimore. I have never been so ready for fall and all of its crisp glory. Bring on the oversized sweaters, dark denim, boots, and early nights. I. Am. Ready.
For me, part of ushering in a season involves changing my bed linens. I typically use a duvet and thicker sheets in the fall/winter and stick to a thin blanket and cotton sheets during the spring and fall. Last winter, I was in an all white everything mood and purchased a white duvet cover and matching pillow shams. This fall, I’m feeling moody and romantic.

I want my bedroom to become a boudoir. I want it to seem luscious and sensual. For inspiration, I have pinned multiple bedrooms, featuring beds in many different variations of disarray.

I have finally settled on a bedding set from West Elm. It is slightly pricey, but I live alone with two cats, so I should be able to keep this looking so fresh and so clean for a few season rotations.

Isn’t it divine? It checks all my boxes for a soft, sensual, moody, romantic bedroom. To complete the look and keep it from veering into frilly or girly, I plan to anchor it with some heavier textiles.

Let’s see if this type of bedroom makeover leads to any new “acquaintances”.
