In one month we’ll all be able to rush to our nearest Target in order to get the newest designer collection from Target. I haven’t been this excited about a Target designer collaboration since the Temperley collection in 2007. Okay, I have to stop drooling now.
Gone are the days of cheesy or absurd collaboration pieces, the ones that can be referred to as “impulse buys” later when you see them sitting in your closet, so not congruent with rest of your stuff, bought for the sole purpose of owning a “designer” piece. Phillip Lim (and Target, hand in hand) managed to create a timeless, work appropriate collection (it’s a huge 100 piece collection of women’s and men’s apparel, shoes and accessories) with signature prints and to-die-for bags.
If you live in the US it’s worth to stay sleepless on September 15th to get a “Lim” bag for $50.00 instead of $800.00 (it’s the real deal!). It may even be worth migrating to New York from Montreal for just one day. It would totally pay off.
